Watercolour illustrations for Dust Cover, to be scanned in

Using the eraser tool in photoshop to remove background.

I have used the same colours as my watercolour illustrations to create backgrounds on the Dust Jacket

After creating the background to my Dust cover, I decided that the background was too simple and lacked texture. I have used watercolour to create this textured background, in-keeping with my colour scheme, that will add more texture and interest in the Dust Cover design.

The new background adds texture to the Dust cover, and links the whole dust cover together, rather than separating each section.

I then created the text layout on the page, Changing the layout of the page, so that the foreshadowing quote was on the first sleeve, and the author's biography was on the back sleeve. Although I haven't settled on the texts used on the cover, I have now positioned the text over the cover and included reviews, quotes, information about the author, the title and a blurb.
